SpeechBee terms of use

Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and Fat Pitch Ltd when you download, access, purchase, or use SpeechBee. If you do not agree, do not use SpeechBee.

You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If local law requires a parent or guardian to approve your use, that person must review and accept these terms for you. If you use SpeechBee for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.

What SpeechBee provides

SpeechBee provides dictation, text cleanup, vocabulary and snippet tools, Read Aloud, and related features on supported Apple devices. Core speech processing is local after a selected model downloads. Available features can differ by device, operating system, language, distribution channel, model, and hardware.

Speech recognition and generated text can be inaccurate. Review output before relying on it, especially for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or other consequential uses. SpeechBee is a productivity tool, not professional advice or an emergency service.

Licence

Subject to these terms and any applicable store rules, Fat Pitch Ltd grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use SpeechBee on devices you own or control. SpeechBee is licensed, not sold.

App Store downloads are also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement and usage rules unless a valid custom licence is shown for the transaction.

Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds

The current price, billing period, tax treatment, trial eligibility, renewal terms, included access, and any purchase-specific device limit are disclosed in the app, App Store, or checkout before you confirm a purchase. Those transaction details form part of your agreement for that purchase. We do not promise that an offer will remain available indefinitely.

Subscriptions renew unless cancelled as explained at purchase. Cancelling normally stops future renewal and does not end access already paid for. Apple controls App Store billing, cancellation, and refunds. Direct purchases may be processed by Stripe and are subject to the checkout and receipt terms shown for that transaction.

If a direct checkout expressly includes a refund guarantee, the scope, period, eligibility, and request method shown at purchase apply. Nothing in these terms limits a refund, remedy, or cancellation right that applicable law does not allow you to waive.

Accounts and devices

Some features use Sign in with Apple, purchase verification, or a signed device entitlement. You are responsible for protecting access to your Apple account and devices and for keeping information you provide accurate. Tell us promptly if you believe access has been compromised.

Access may be restored on eligible devices and platforms according to the plan and store rules shown at purchase. A connection can be required for sign-in, purchase or entitlement verification, restoration, device management, and model downloads. Local data does not automatically become account data.

Your content and local data

You retain your rights in text, audio, corrections, snippets, and other content you provide. Fat Pitch Ltd does not claim ownership of that content merely because you use SpeechBee.

You are responsible for having the right to process your content, reviewing generated output, and keeping any backup you need. SpeechBee provides local export, erase, or sync controls for supported data, but it is not a general backup or records-retention service.

Optional and third-party services

Optional features may use Apple services, Hugging Face model hosting, Stripe, a provider you configure for Bring Your Own Key cleanup, or another clearly identified service. Those providers' terms and privacy practices apply to their services. SpeechBee does not control their availability or independent processing.

Third-party services may include subscription-management, analytics, attribution, and advertising-measurement providers. Their terms, privacy practices, availability, and processing may apply to their services.

Optional Apple Foundation Models cleanup runs under Apple's on-device availability rules. Optional cloud cleanup is initiated by you and sends the selected transcript text directly to the provider you configure; SpeechBee does not operate an AI proxy or silently fall back from local processing to cloud processing.

Acceptable use

Do not use SpeechBee to violate law or another person's rights; bypass purchase, licence, security, or usage controls; interfere with the service or other users; distribute malware; probe systems without permission; or resell, sublicense, or provide SpeechBee as a hosted service without written permission.

You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or derive source code except to the extent that applicable law or an applicable open-source licence expressly permits it.

Changes, updates, and availability

We may improve, replace, restrict, or discontinue features to address security, law, platform changes, technical limits, or product development. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent compatibility with every device or operating system, continued hosting of third-party models, or equal accuracy for every language, accent, speaker, and environment.

You may need a current version of SpeechBee or the operating system to continue using some features. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice before a material change that adversely affects paid access.

Ownership

SpeechBee, its software, design, documentation, branding, and related intellectual property belong to Fat Pitch Ltd or its licensors. Open-source components remain subject to their own licences. No rights are granted except those stated in these terms.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using SpeechBee at any time. You can cancel billing through the provider that processed the purchase, delete a SpeechBee service account where available, and erase local data separately.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, fraud, security risk, legal requirement, refund or chargeback, or loss of a valid entitlement. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. Expiry or termination does not transfer your local content to Fat Pitch Ltd.

Warranties and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpeechBee is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not make promises about uninterrupted availability, error-free output, fitness for a particular purpose, or the accuracy of speech recognition, cleanup, or generated text.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, wilful misconduct, or any responsibility that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. Subject to those protections, Fat Pitch Ltd is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, loss caused by content you provide or fail to review, or failures of third-party services outside our reasonable control. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus. If you are a consumer, this choice does not remove mandatory protections or court rights available under the law of your country of residence.

Please contact support@speechbee.app first so we can try to resolve a concern. If it cannot be resolved, either party may use the courts or another dispute process available under applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when SpeechBee, the law, or our commercial arrangements change. We will change the effective date and, where required, provide additional notice. Changes do not retroactively remove rights you already have, and material changes apply prospectively unless law requires otherwise.
