Wispr Flow plans and prices

These are Wispr's published US prices per user. Tax is extra.

PlanBilled monthlyBilled yearlyWhat it adds

Pro$15/mo$12/mo ($144/yr)Unlimited dictation, longer Notetaker history, shared dictionary and snippets, team billing

Every plan covers Mac, Windows, iPhone and Android for dictation. The Notetaker runs on Mac and Windows only. Wispr also lists Growth at $33 a month ($26 yearly) with unlimited Notetaker access.

What the free plan really gets you

The free plan is not a trial. It never expires, but it caps you at 2,000 words a week on desktop and 1,000 on your phone.

That is less than it sounds. Wispr's own homepage puts Flow at 220 words a minute, so 2,000 words is about nine minutes of talking a week. Two long emails and a project update, and you wait until the counter resets.

The free plan does include the full dictionary and snippets, all 100+ languages, and the Notetaker with a weekly meeting limit. Recordings under five minutes do not count toward that meeting limit.

What Pro adds for $15 a month

Pro removes the word cap. That is the main reason people pay. It also keeps your Notetaker meetings longer, raises the meeting limit, and turns on team features: a shared dictionary and snippets, one bill for everyone, and a usage dashboard for admins.

If you pay yearly, Pro drops to $12 a month, a 20% saving. There is no minimum team size, so a solo user pays the same per-seat price as a team member.

Growth and Enterprise

Growth is for companies that need IT controls. It adds single sign-on with SAML, HIPAA enforcement with a signed BAA across the organisation, the ability for admins to switch off model training for everyone, and per-person usage reporting.

Enterprise adds automatic user provisioning, audit logs, managed deployment, free admin seats, custom contracts, and purchase-order billing. Wispr only sells it on yearly terms and does not publish a price.

Discounts that actually exist

  • Yearly billing cuts Pro from $15 to $12 a month.
  • Students and educators with an education email get 50% off Pro.
  • Nonprofits get discounted Pro, according to Wispr's pricing FAQ.
  • Notetaker for teams is free for everyone in a workspace through 31 October 2026, after which members move to the limited plan.

We have not found a public Wispr Flow coupon code beyond these. If a site promises one, check that it lands on wisprflow.ai before you pay.

Is Wispr Flow worth the money?

For some people, clearly yes. If you work across a Mac and a Windows PC, dictate on Android, or need your whole team on one dictionary with SSO, Wispr Flow does things the cheaper apps do not. $144 a year is a small cost against that.

If you are one person writing on a Mac, it is harder to justify. You pay every year for cloud dictation, and your voice goes to Wispr's servers each time. Local apps now do the core job, voice in and clean text at the cursor, on your own Mac, for less. Some of them cost nothing.

Cheaper ways to do the same job

  • SpeechBee is $79 a year or $99 once, runs on your device, and adds Read Aloud text to speech. It covers Mac, iPhone and iPad, with 7 days free.
  • superwhisper is $84.99 a year and has a free tier with unlimited local Whisper models.
  • VoiceInk is $25 once for one Apple silicon Mac.
  • Spokenly runs local models for free with no word cap.

We go through ten options in the best Wispr Flow alternatives.
