Typeless pricing, plan by plan

Typeless has a free plan with a weekly word limit and one paid plan for individuals, Pro, at $30 a month or $12 a month billed yearly. The yearly price is less than half the monthly one, so how you pay matters more than usual. Here is what each plan gets you.

Typeless runs on Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone and Android. Processing happens in Typeless's cloud; it says it keeps no cloud copy of your data and never trains on it, with history stored on your device.

What the free plan really gets you

Unusually, the free plan includes every writing feature. You can try the AI rewriting, the tones for each app, translation and Ask anything without paying. What you do not get is volume: Typeless caps free use at a limited number of words each week, and free users get standard accuracy and standard access when its servers are busy.

That makes the free plan a fair test of whether you like having your speech rewritten. It is not built for all-day dictation.

What Pro adds, and when it's worth it

Pro removes the word limit and switches you to the enhanced accuracy model. It also gives you priority when demand is high, sync across your devices, and, because it is priced per member, team management, central billing and usage analytics.

If you dictate every day and want an AI to turn rambling speech into polished messages, Pro is the plan you will end up on. If you want your own words typed as you said them, the rewriting is the part you are paying for and do not need.

Monthly or yearly?

One year, in US dollars
  • Typeless Pro, monthly$360
  • Typeless Pro, yearly$144
  • SpeechBee Yearly$79

Monthly Pro adds up to $360 a year. Billed yearly, it is $144, which is 60% less. If you are sure you will keep using Typeless, the yearly plan is the only sensible choice. If you are not sure, the free plan is a better way to decide than a month at $30.

You can cancel from the Subscription section of your account page in the app. Typeless accepts major credit cards, and Enterprise customers can pay by invoice.

Adding and removing team members

Pro is priced per member. When you add someone, they use a free seat if one is available; otherwise a seat is added and a prorated charge may apply. Removing someone keeps their seat available until the end of the billing cycle, and Typeless does not refund unused seats.

A local option, if you don't want AI rewriting

SpeechBee is the app we make, and it takes the opposite approach. Hold a key, talk, and your own words appear at the cursor in any app, with filler words like "um" removed, names corrected from your dictionary, and snippets expanded. Speech is recognised on your device after a one-time download, so it works offline and nothing is uploaded. Select text, and SpeechBee reads it aloud.

It costs $9 a month, $79 a year or $99 once, and one plan covers Mac, iPhone and iPad, with the first 7 days free. It needs an Apple silicon Mac with macOS 14 or later. It does not translate, rewrite your tone, or run on Windows, Linux or Android, and Typeless does all of those.

What it costs over timeOver three years, Typeless Pro costs $432 on yearly billing and $1,080 on monthly billing. SpeechBee costs $99 once.
