NaturalReader has a free plan and three paid ones: Lite at $79 a year, Plus at $119 and Pro at $159, or $13.90 to $25.90 a month. The difference between them is mostly which AI voices you get and how much you can listen to. Here is what each includes and how to choose.

Every paid plan includes the web app, the mobile app and the Chrome extension, reads PDF, EPUB, Word, PowerPoint, Pages and Numbers files, and adds AI features such as summaries, podcasts and quizzes. Audio you make is licensed for personal use only. Commercial voiceovers are a separate product.
Which plan do you need?
Free is enough if you are happy with your device's built-in voices, or listen to less than about 20,000 characters a day of AI voice. That is roughly a long article.
Lite is the plan for most individual readers. It removes the daily limit on Lite voices and adds MP3 export and OCR, so you can listen to scanned pages and save audio for later.
Plus and Pro are about voice quality. NaturalReader calls its Pro voices its highest quality. If voice realism is what you are paying for, sample them before you pay the extra $40 to $80 a year.

Monthly or yearly?
Paying monthly for a year of Lite costs $166.80, more than twice the $79 yearly price. NaturalReader bills up front and renews automatically until you cancel. If you only need it for an exam season or one project, a month or two can make sense. Otherwise yearly is much cheaper.
Refunds and cancelling
When you cancel, your paid access continues to the end of the period you paid for. For Plus and Pro bought on NaturalReader's website, you can ask for a full refund within 3 days of a monthly purchase or renewal, or within 7 days for yearly plans. Refunds are not automatic or prorated. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play follow Apple's or Google's refund rules.
Schools: EDU plans
NaturalReader sells group licenses for schools, billed yearly. Lite EDU starts at $599 a year for 50 users. If you are a student, ask whether your school already has it.

Yes, there is a free plan. It includes unlimited listening with your device's basic voices and 20,000 characters a day with Lite AI voices. It does not include MP3 export or OCR.

What is the difference between NaturalReader Lite, Plus and Pro?
Mostly the voices. Lite gives unlimited Lite AI voices. Plus adds higher-quality Plus voices and voice cloning. Pro adds NaturalReader's top Pro voices and reading styles. All paid plans include MP3 export and OCR.
What happened to NaturalReader Premium?
NaturalReader renamed Premium to Lite. Existing Premium subscribers keep the same plan and limits.
Can I get a refund from NaturalReader?
For Plus and Pro bought on its website, within 3 days for monthly plans and 7 days for yearly plans, on request. App Store and Google Play purchases follow those stores' rules.
Is there a cheaper NaturalReader alternative for Mac?
macOS Speak selection is free. SpeechBee costs the same as NaturalReader Lite per year, or $99 once, and adds dictation with voices that run on your Mac.
