What’s new in SpeechBee

Every update to SpeechBee for Mac and what it means for you. Updates install themselves; the Mac App Store version gets the same improvements through the App Store.

Version 0.3.15

13 October 2026

  • A calmer first start. Choose “Get started” or “I already use SpeechBee”, then set up in eight short steps instead of eleven.
  • Faster Sign in with Apple. Apple’s sign-in opens right inside SpeechBee, with no detour through Safari.
  • Your plan, recognized right away. Restore a plan and the payment window closes by itself. SpeechBee never asks people who already have access to pay.
  • See what’s new at a glance. After each update, a short summary of the best changes, then it gets out of your way.

Version 0.3.14

13 October 2026

  • Updates install themselves. New versions download in the background and install when you quit SpeechBee or step away. Never while you dictate or listen.
  • See what changed after each update. A small note links to this page once, then gets out of your way.
  • Keep dictating offline for longer. Dictation keeps working for at least 30 days without a connection. SpeechBee checks your plan when you are back online.
  • Launch at login that just works. If macOS has switched SpeechBee off, you go straight to the right System Settings page with a note on what to turn on.
  • No more keychain password prompts. SpeechBee keeps your sign-in without ever asking for your Mac password.
  • Help on every setting. Hover over or click any ⓘ in Settings to see what an option does.
  • Clearer Settings. Plainer names, such as Read Aloud and Dictionary & Snippets, with the details one click away.

Version 0.3.13

13 October 2026

  • Read long articles aloud in one go. Select up to 200,000 characters and SpeechBee reads all of it, without gaps between parts.
  • Cleaner dictation in 44 languages. Hesitations such as “um”, “äh” and “えーと” disappear in every language SpeechBee dictates.
  • Say “new paragraph” in your own language. Spoken punctuation and line breaks work in 16 languages.
  • No more false error messages. Read Aloud no longer flashes an error just before it starts reading.

Version 0.3.12

12 October 2026

  • Never miss an update. Update notices come to the front instead of hiding behind other windows, and later ones wait quietly in the menu.

Version 0.3.11

12 October 2026

  • Get the newest version any time. Choose Check for Updates in the menu or in Settings to update right away.
