Most people read faster than they speak, but they remember more when they listen. SpeechBee reads the sentence you selected out loud, while you keep working in the same window.

Select text, press your reading key, and listen.

Questions

Does it work offline?

Yes. The speech model downloads once (about 600 MB). After that, dictation works without internet. Reading voices also download once and then work offline.

Which languages does it understand?

25 languages with the default model. On Mac you can switch to the optional Whisper model for up to 99. Reading voices are available in English and several other languages.

What do I need on my Mac?

An Apple silicon Mac (M1 or newer) with macOS 14 or later. SpeechBee asks for three permissions: Microphone to hear you, Accessibility to type the text, and Input Monitoring so the shortcut works in any app.

I subscribed on my iPhone. How do I use it on my Mac?

Get SpeechBee from the Mac App Store and choose Restore purchase. Or download it here and sign in with the same Apple Account you use on your iPhone.

What happens after the free week?

SpeechBee asks you to pick a plan the next time you use it. Every plan unlocks all features on all your devices.
